Hess' impressive outing, bullpen arms help hold off LSU for 4-3 win

Alabama baseball relied heavily on its pitching staff on Sunday, holding off LSU for the 4-3 series-clinching win at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. With the victory, the 25th-ranked Crimson Tide is now 32-19 overall and 12-15 in Southeastern Conference play.

Baseball falls to LSU on Saturday

Alabama baseball suffered a 6-3 loss to LSU on Saturday afternoon at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. Following game two of the weekend, the 25th-ranked Crimson Tide is now 31-19 overall and 11-15 in Southeastern Conference play.

Tide picks up another key transfer

In the past few days, Alabama has landed commitments from two defensive backs -- cornerback DaShawn Jones (Wake Forest) and safety King Mack (Penn State) -- from the transfer portal. Bama has now landed versatile offensive lineman Geno VanDeMark (Michigan State) from the portal. The 6-5, 300-pound VanDeMark started six games at guard last season for the Spartans. He missed four games due to injury. VanDeMark also has experience at center, which, given Alabama's lack of depth and experience at that position, makes the addition of VanDeMark key for the Tide OL.

Ninth-inning rally leads to 8-7 walkoff win over LSU

Alabama baseball used a ninth-inning rally to earn an 8-7 walkoff win over LSU on Friday evening at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. With the victory, the 25th-ranked Crimson Tide is now 31-18 overall and 11-14 in Southeastern Conference play.

Former Penn State safety commits to Alabama

As expected, former Penn State safety King Mack has announced his transfer to Alabama. The 5-10, 190-pound Mack made three tackles as a freshman for the Nittany Lions last season. The former prep standout at national powerhouse St Thomas-Aquinas, FL has been timed at 10.6 in the 100 meters. Mack joins Kam Howard (safety/husky) and DaShawn Jones (corner) as recent transfer additions to the Tide secondary. Back in the January transfer portal, Alabama added corner Domani Jackson (USC) and safety Keon Sabb (Michigan).

DaShawn Jones jumps on-board with Bama; More coming

The big question today centered on when Wake Forest corner DaShawn Jones would finally pull the trigger for the Tide. Jones got fans worked up this morning by tweeting that his recruitment was still open. But as TI noted, we had heard nothing to indicate that he wouldn't end up at Alabama. As expected, Jones followed through.
